Welcome to the Department - Professor François Meyer
T
Dr. Meyer’s work is “sitting at the intersection of applied probability, graph theory, and some flavor of fast computation.” Professor Meyer states that the most compelling part of his work,is helping students and fostering them to succeed in the growing sophistication of applied mathematics needed to analyze massive and complex datasets.
Professor Meyer is currently teaching Discrete Mathematics. Meyer is enthusiastic about joining the department, saying that “it has been a long time since I’ve seen this passion at the undergrad level.” He’s excited to be working in the department because of the great faculty, stating: “I’ve been interacting with the faculty for many, many years; several APPM faculty members have had very profound impacts on my career.”
