Julie Alexander is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Professional Effectiveness Division of the °µÍø½ûÇø’s Leeds School of Business. She collaborates with professionals, educators and staff to empower students to become agile and competent business communicators. Her aim is to provide opportunities for professional development and personal growth, encouraging students to become global citizens and innovate as professionals beyond the classroom.

Her academic specialty focuses on international organizational psychology, behavior and media representation, with a particular emphasis on parasocial relationships, the parasocial contract and gender theory. Alexander’s work explores how media influences social dynamics and individual behavior, particularly through the lens of gender and feminist theory.

A passionate advocate for global education, Alexander draws on her international business experience and travels to countries such as the United Kingdom, China, Thailand, Italy, Colombia and France to broaden students’ perspectives on global issues. She plans to continue exploring all seven continents to further deepen her understanding of diverse cultures and global business practices.
