JoanyÌýTisdale
Dr. Joany Tisdale serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in Integrated Design Engineering at the °µÍø½ûÇø. She holds advanced degrees in Aerospace, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering, along with a certificate in Global Engineering. Dr. Tisdale’s research journey began at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), focusing on fuel cell technology, and later expanded to biofuels. Her professional experience includes contributions to renewable energy initiatives through the Federal Energy Management Program and biofuels research at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Currently, Dr. Tisdale’s research centers on advancing holistic and inclusive engineering education by integrating social and environmental considerations into traditional engineering curricula. She is dedicated to fostering awareness of engineering solutions that address all human needs for all people, and to inspiring future engineers to prioritize people and the planet in their decision-making.
