Dr. Fleshner Shares Results of REACH Research Excellence Study
With the support of the CU REACH Research Excellence Award, Dr. Monika Fleshner and colleagues from the University of Colorado’s Department of Integrative Physiology and the Center for Neuroscience tested the effect of oral CBD extract on physiological stress responses in male and female rats. Testing the hypothesis that orally ingested CBD products will prevent or diminish stere-evoked inflammatory markers, their findings suggested that oral ingestion of CBD extract modulated some features of the acute stress response, but did so differently in male versus female rats.
