- We are pleased to share that Evan Blaisdell has been selected to serve on the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) Compensation Collaborate Community Working Group. This two-year term, beginning January 1, 2025, is a testament to Evan's expertise and leadership in research administration. We deeply appreciate his efforts in representing UCB on the national stage. Congratulations, Evan!

- Evan Blaisdell Wins RIO Outstanding Partner Award! Congratulations to Evan Blaisdell for being selected as the 2024 recipient of the Research & Innovation Office (RIO) Outstanding Partner Award! Chosen by Massimo Ruzzene, vice chancellor for research and innovation and dean of the institutes, from a pool of strong nominees, Evan was honored for his exceptional support and contributions. He received a hand-blown glass trophy during the RIO all-staff meeting on October 14. We're thrilled to see Evan's hard work recognized—well done, Evan!

- We are pleased to announce Alisha Alfonso and Joe Kennedy have begun their new roles as grant accountants in RFS. Both Alisha and Joe originally came to RFS as grant accountant Interns. Alisha will be on the public and private universities (not “university of”), along with State of Colorado Universities desk. Joe will be on the funds and foundations and international sponsor desk.
- We would like to welcome Jamie Lauderdale who started with us as a grant accountant on July 8. Jamie will be taking over the Dept. of Defense w/ Sandia National Labs Desk.
- We are also pleased to announce the promotion of Addie Fleegel to the grant accountant intermediate role as of July 15. Addie will be moving into a newly assembled intermediate level desk initially comprising of SWRI, NASA Centers (non-Goddard/DC), Draper Labs, SERDP and Hospitals. She most recently had been on the funds and foundations desk and will continue to help cover that portfolio as we fill that vacancy. Thank you, Addie!
- The Debt and Asset Management Team is pleased to announce Enrique Lujan has joined our team asa property inventory specialist. Enrique wIll assist departments with their challenging equipment inventories and equipment movement and disposals. We are excited to have you as part of our team Enrique!

Mark will be reviewing payroll expense transfers (PETs), reviewing/approving change orders and requisitions on sponsored projects for purchases over 10K(non-equipment, non-subaward), being the ePER point of contact, and more!

- Carolyn Ivey started as a debt and asset manager on May 13. Carolyn has a wide range of university experience and looks forward to helping the campus manage equipment all over the solar system!

Their dedication and expertise have been invaluable to our team, and this promotion is a testament to their hard work and commitment. - The Campus Accounting team recently gained two excellent senior campus accountants from other parts of campus. Cynthia Mews has moved from her role as cash and construction accountant in the Debt and Asset Management team here in CCO. Barret Bukauskas has transferred from his role as A&S Financial Services Center (FSC) Manager. Please extend a warm welcome to both Cynthia and Barret – our Campus Accounting team and campus will benefit greatly from the diverse knowledge and experience they bring to their new positions.
