Biography

LucyÌýMcAllister is an assistant professor of Sustainability and Environmental Studies at Denison University. She was previously a postdoctoral researcher of sustainability at the Technical University of Munich in the Center for Energy Markets. She holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Environmental Studies from the °µÍø½ûÇø.

Lucy’s current research focuses onÌý1) how the media, politicians, and individuals frame climate change and discuss solutions for public audiences in differentÌýparts of the world, 2) how those messages transform over time and place, and 3) how audiences take up and respond to varied climate change discourses. Her dissertation work was selected for a °µÍø½ûÇø Dissertation Completion Fellowship. She has also received a Fulbright Teaching Assistant Award and a Boston College Teaching, Advising, and Mentoring Expense Grant. She has published her research in outlets such asÌýEnvironmental Research Letters, the Health and Human Rights Journal, The Lancet, Science and Engineering Ethics, Sociology of Development, and the Population Reference Bureau. LucyÌýteaches courses on climate change, environmental justice, the Sustainable Development Goals, and interdisciplinary researchÌýmethods, among others.Ìý
