Our medical teams provide inclusive care for students, including insurance coverage for transitioning, hormone therapy, preventative care and sexual and reproductive health services.
The Pride Office helps provide a sense of belonging and community for LGBTQ+ students, staff and faculty on campus. Their office offers a variety of community events and support services.
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS)
CAPS provides a variety of mental health services for LGBTQ+ students, including LGBTQ-specific groups, letters of support and identify-affirming care.
Office of Victim Assistance (OVA)
OVA provides free and confidential consultation, advocacy and short-term trauma counseling for students, staff and faculty who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic, disturbing or life-disrupting event.

The Human Rights Campaign’s bi-annual Healthcare Equality Index scored the CU Boulder Transcare team among the country’s top performers in 2024, with a perfect score of 100/100.
The Human Rights Campaign’s bi-annual Healthcare Equality Index scored the CU Boulder Transcare team among the country’s top performers in 2022, with a nearly perfect score of 95/100.
Campus Pride ranked CU Boulder among the top 5 most LGBTQ-friendly campuses of the western states.
The Transcare team was awarded CU Boulder’s Joanne Arnold Courage and Commitment award. This award is given to those who have undertaken projects to benefit the LGBTQ community at the °µÍø½ûÇø.
The Transcare team was nominated for CU Boulder’s Inclusive Excellence award in 2018. This award is intended to recognize teams who have successfully and effectively worked to promote the principles of making excellence inclusive in teaching, leadership, program management, committee participation, inclusion or community engagement.
