Retrofit

A 3-year international collaborative research project among SBS Lab at °µÍø½ûÇø, University College Dublin and Ulster University has received funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Ireland Science Foundation, and the Northern Ireland Department for the Economy, which adds up to about $1.2 million dollars. This joint research effort aims to reduce residential building energy consumption, which roughly accounts for up to 30% of greenhouse gas emissions across these three jurisdictions. This project will provide policy makers with the tools to make conscious decisions about residential retrofitting solutions from local to national level.
