RASEI hosted the International Energy Agency's Wind Technology Collaboration Program (IEA Wind TCP) for their 2023 Technology Experts Meeting (TEM #109). The title of this conference was "Grand Challenges in Wind Energy Science", and was held by RASEI in February of 2023.

Many countries around the world, including the United States, have set ambitious wind energy targets for the next decade and beyond. Acheiving this will require developers to deploy a magnitude more wind energy capacity than is currently installed. This conference brought together over 100 researchers, including significant representation from CU Boulder and NREL, to discuss a number of focus areas on how to address this.
