Social, Institutional, and Behavioral Analysis

Science and Engineering is only one part of the clean energy transition. Over the past two centuries we have built up a society on the foundations of fossil fuels. Making a transition away from them is going to be hard, changing habits is difficult. We need to develop convincing arguments and incentives for change to happen on a societal scale.

RASEI Researchers use advanced analyses of trends and opinions to build models of how populations will react to the changes required, and how we can better understand and incentivize the transition. These models help us inform future research and policy decisions.
