Why Support WoAA?

The Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics is an international initiative to support and empower marginalized genders in the aeronautic and astronautic fields. We are open to all women, gender minorities, and allies and we are a trans-inclusive organization that welcomes individuals who identify as gender not-conforming. Our mission is to provide support, empowerment, and networking opportunities for gender minorities in the aerospace field, beginning with university students. We greatly appreciate any amount of support because it enables WoAA to fulfill its mission through on-campus and off-campus events. Funding of WoAA will help support:

  1. Bi-weekly meetings for members that feature networking opportunities, guest speakers, professional development events, technical events, and social events to provide a community for our members. 
  2. Conference Costs for our members, including but not limited to: Travel, lodging, and registration.

Blue Origin

During Spring 2023, we established a valuable partnership with Blue Origin, which graciously collaborated with us! We were able to connect with middle school students, offering insights into the aerospace field. We facilitated the creation of postcards for their involvement in the , an initiative associated with Blue Origin. Additionally, we commenced procurement of resources for our inaugural conference, titled "WoAA Conference 2023: First Take Off," which hopefully will successfully unfold on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
