Meet the Team

Please welcome our newest E-Board for the 2023-2024 year!

Ada Forsner, President

Major: Aerospace Engineering

Minor: Engineering Manegement and Space

Within the last year, Ada was a member of ARIA Systems Group, a robotics research group, where she aided in robotic simulations and troubleshooting. Ada assisted students with their projects and helped manage a small portion of the team.

Currently, Ada is pursuing interests in systems engineering, where she hopes to work on a multitude of different aerospace projects and help manage teams. As well as being an executive WOAA member, Ada is an active member of SWE and participated in the Ball Sisters Program.

Ada is excited to be a part of the WoAA executive team this year and wants to be involved in new events such as the conference. In addition, Ada wants to make positive changes to the club so future members can get the best experience possible.

Annalise Cabra, Vice President

Major: Physics
Position: Vice President

Anna performs experimental research at CU Boulder’s IMPACT lab for space technology development which includes dust charging mobilization mechanisms for in-situ resource utilization. This summer she worked with Dr. Jay McMahon’s ORCCA lab and assisted with verification and validation of an orbit determination python tool for spacecraft tracking. She also has experience in data systems and science operations for NASA missions. Anna plans to attend graduate school in aerospace engineering with a focus on mission trajectory design.
In addition to these work experiences, Anna is involved in CU’s Quantum Scholars Program and McNair Scholars Program where she strives to grow these communities. Anna loves engaging in outreach with K-12 students to spread passion for space sciences and STEM. In her free time, she enjoys going to CU’s football games, stargazing, and spending time with friends.
WoAA has continuously helped Anna meet other students, expand her professional network, and learn about various disciplines. Anna is excited to be a part of the exec team because it is a great way to contribute to the growth of the aerospace industry and help others, especially underrepresented students, find opportunities to develop their skills.

Cynthia Ortiz, Treasurer

Major: Aerospace Engineering

Minor: Space

Cynthia's plans for the future are to become a project manager at Ball Aerospace. Cynthia is a Goldshirt scholar whose hobbies are volleyball, painting, traveling, and journaling. Something that Cynthia enjoys about being a part of WoAA is being able to surround herself with intelligent women who support each other.

Something that excites her about being a part of the WoAA executive team is being able to grow her professional development skills and being able to have networking opportunities. WoAA will help Cynthia achieve some of her goals by exposing her to opportunities in the industry and to be able to land an internship at an Aerospace company by next summer.
