CEOs and executives of Kraft Foods Inc., McDATA Corp., Intrawest Colorado and other leading companies will visit the University of Colorado at Boulder campus to talk with students about their career experiences.
As part of the Profiles in Business and Society course, the executives and entrepreneurs will speak at CU-Boulder class lectures on Mondays throughout the fall semester. The presentations will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. in Mathematics Building room 100 and are open to the public on a space-available basis.
"We invite people from a variety of companies, everything from Fortune 100 companies to small entrepreneurial businesses," said Kristen Hislop, director of the program in the Leeds School of Business. The profiles course has been offered at CU-Boulder since 1988 and is a requirement for business majors.
"During these classes, students interact with these successful business people and gain valuable advice on their academic endeavors and learn about current business issues," she said. "This gives the students a basis for their business education."
If room 100 in the Mathematics Building is full, the presentations also may be viewed via a live video feed in room G1B30 in the Duane Physics building, also on the Boulder campus. Room G1B30 is located on the ground level of the G wing in the physics building.
