The University of Colorado Real Estate Council's 2005 conference -- "Bright Future?" -- will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.
Presented by the CU Real Estate Council, CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the annual conference will include presentations by industry experts on the outlook for global, national and local real estate markets and trends.
"The important thing about the title 'Bright Future?' is the question mark behind it," said Byron Koste, director of the CU-Boulder Real Estate Center. "This title was chosen to reflect that the outlook is really a mixed bag."
Harry Frampton III, managing partner of East West Partners, will give the keynote address at noon. East West Partners specializes in real estate development, including multifamily dwellings and resorts, and currently has projects in the Vail Valley, Summit County and Denver. Frampton will talk about the opportunities and challenges confronting the real estate market. He will focus mainly on Colorado.
Other conference speakers include:
Thomas Marsico, founder, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Marsico Capital Management LLC, will talk about real estate investment drivers.
Nick Cammarano Jr., chairman of the Global Real Estate Research Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, will talk about global real estate industry trends.
Peter Korpacz, director of the Global Strategic Real Estate Industry Services Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, will present a national outlook on real estate markets.
The afternoon is dedicated to discussing the four major real estate markets: retail, office, multifamily and industrial.
The conference is $75 for CU Real Estate Council members and $175 for nonmembers. The deadline for registration is Feb. 9.
