University of Colorado at Boulder officials expect parking on campus to be at a premium for the Sept. 3 CU-CSU football game at Folsom Field and suggest that fans consider alternative transportation and parking for the 1:30 p.m. game.
Public parking lots on campus will open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Parking also will be allowed on designated recreation fields, weather permitting. Costs for parking on campus is $20 per vehicle.
CU football games can draw more than 4,000 vehicles to the campus creating congestion and parking problems. Parking services officials suggest taking the Regional Transportation District's BuffRide service to the game.
The BuffRide will be operating throughout the Denver metro area and Longmont. Buses start departing about two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff from all locations including the Boulder Park-n-Ride at Table Mesa Drive and Foothills Parkway, the Westminster Center Park-n-Ride at Wadsworth Boulevard and U.S. 36, the Flatirons Crossing Park-n-Ride at Flatiron Drive and U.S. 36, and the Roosevelt Park-n-Ride at 815 S. Main in Longmont.

The city of Boulder offers free parking on weekends in its five downtown parking garages located on or near Pearl Street between Ninth Street and 16th Street. For garage locations call (303) 413-7300.
Bus service to the stadium also is available from downtown Boulder to the campus via RTD's HOP and SKIP bus routes.
The HOP arrives at 15th Street and Pearl Street every 15 minutes. After the game, the HOP picks up at Folsom Street and Stadium Drive. Riders can get on the SKIP at the Boulder downtown bus terminal at 14th Street and Walnut Street every 15 minutes. After the game riders can board the SKIP at Broadway and 16th Street across from the University Memorial Center.
The fare for both routes is $1.25, 60 cents for senior citizens or free with an ECO Pass, NECO Pass, CU Pass or any other RTD pass.
Parking for the disabled is available at the Euclid Avenue Autopark. A wheelchair-accessible shuttle will be on hand to transport people between the parking structure and Folsom Stadium continuously for two hours before kickoff and for two hours after the game.
