The University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business will present its annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook forum on Monday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.
The event at 1701 California St. in Denver is free and open to the public and is sponsored by CU-Boulder's Leeds School of Business and Compass Bank. No reservations are required.
Compiled by the Leeds School's Business Research Division, the comprehensive state economic outlook forum for 2007 features forecasts and trends for 11 business sectors prepared by more than 80 key business, government and industry professionals.
Economic snapshots from specific counties and regions around the state, as well as updates on international trade, population, labor force and personal income growth, and a general outlook on the national economy are included in the outlook. A question-and-answer session will follow the outlook presentation.
Richard Bell, president of Gates Corp. in Denver, is the keynote speaker. He will discuss "The Changing World of Manufacturing and Distribution."
The forum will conclude with a series of breakout sessions focusing on some of the top economic issues facing Colorado, including:
o The Aging Workforce and Its Interaction with Industry
o Renewing Colorado's Energy Economy
o Nanotech, Weather, Climate and Energy: The R&D Impact on Colorado's Economy
o Colorado Real Estate Markets
