University of Colorado at Boulder Police are investigating a break-in at the campus's Wardenburg Health Center on Dec. 15 in which prescriptions that were ready for pickup may have been taken from the pharmacy.
Wardenburg officials are doing an inventory to determine if any prescriptions are missing, said Cmdr. John Kish of the CU Police Department. No prescriptions were missing as of Monday.
An individual or individuals tried breaking into the building at three different locations at about 5 a.m., eventually forcing a door open from a second floor roof, Kish said. They then made their way to the first floor, where they gained entry to the pharmacy by smashing a tempered-glass door.
A cash register also was taken from the lobby and recovered a short distance away between the Willard and Farrand residence halls, he said. The cash register was smashed open but nothing was taken because it was empty.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the CU-Boulder Police at (303) 492-6666.
