The growth of Colorado's mountain communities and "green" development are among the topics to be discussed at the University of Colorado Real Estate Council's 2007 conference on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Held annually, the conference will feature outlooks from national and local experts on real estate and capital markets. Co-sponsored by the CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business and the Urban Land Institute, it will be held at Denver's Westin Tabor Center at 1672 Lawrence St.

At 9:15 a.m., Jacques Gordon, global investment strategist at LaSalle Investment Management, will discuss international real estate trends and how they likely will affect Colorado.

Joshua A. Scoville, director of strategic research for Property and Portfolio Research Inc., a real estate research and portfolio strategy firm, will give the keynote address at noon during the conference luncheon. After Scoville's presentation, the CU Real Estate Council will present its "Person of the Year" award.

The conference cost is $75 for CU Real Estate Council members and $175 for nonmembers. The conference will offer eight hours of continuing education credits to all-day attendees for a $45 fee.
