o William "Bill" Woodward, a faculty member at the CU-Boulder Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence, can comment on school shootings in general, including prior shootings, risk factors and general causes. Woodward was director of the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice from 1984 to 1999 and has been active with the center, which specializes in school safety, since 2001. o CU Police Commander Brad Wiesley can talk about campus security at CU-Boulder. According to Wiesley, CU-Boulder police are well trained to respond to incidents such as the shooting that happened today on the Virginia Tech campus but said it is nearly impossible to prevent such incidents. Campus safety is a primary concern for police on the Boulder campus, Wiesley said.
