The CU-Boulder Friends of the Libraries will hold a "Just Desserts" event featuring mystery writer Julie Kaewert on Tuesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. in the Wolf Law Building's Boettcher Reception Room.

The event is free and open to the public and no reservations are required. The Wolf Law Building opened on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus at the beginning of the 2006-07 school year and is located next to the Fleming Law Building.

Kaewert's presentation is titled "A RiddleÂ…Wrapped in a MysteryÂ…Inside an Enigma." She writes mysteries featuring British book publisher Alex Plumbree, who learns that book publishing is a decidedly dangerous profession.

Kaewert's previous mysteries include "Unsolicited," "Unbound," "Unprintable," Untitled," Unsigned" and "Uncatalogued." She currently is completing a bibliomystery set in the year 1670 titled "The Writing Master's Daughter."

A reception will precede the lecture and there will be a book signing.

The event is co-sponsored by the Camera newspaper. Free parking is available next to the Wolf Law Building in lot 470.
