Local students were among the 5,650 graduates who received degrees May 11 during spring commencement ceremonies at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Outstanding graduates named by the schools and colleges for spring 2007 commencement were Johanna Rubsam of Valparaiso, Ind., College of Music, bachelor's degree in music; Brendon Carlin of Denver, College of Architecture and Planning, bachelor's degree in environmental design-architecture; Nicole Brenneise of Thornton, Leeds School of Business, bachelor's degree in accounting; Matthew Unangst of Fort Collins, College of Engineering and Applied Science, concurrent bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering.
Also named as outstanding graduates were Caroline Bess of Greenwood Village, College of Arts and Sciences, bachelor's degrees in anthropology and French; Susanne Stiegler of Münster, Germany, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, bachelor's degree in journalism, general studies; and Jennifer Berry of Loveland, School of Education, bachelor's degree in psychology, diploma in education.
