William "Bud" Davis, author of the newly released book "Glory Colorado! Volume II: A History of the University of Colorado, 1963-2000," will be on the CU-Boulder campus Thursday and Saturday for two public book signings.

Davis will sign copies of the 900-page book Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the CU Book Store, located in the University Memorial Center at Broadway and Euclid Avenue. The Saturday signing is during halftime at the CU vs. Oklahoma game, which starts at 11:30 a.m. The Saturday signing will be in Folsom Stadium, Club Level.

Davis -- a CU-Boulder alumnus, former alumni director, assistant to the dean of men and CU's interim football coach in 1962 -- captures nearly four decades of changes at the university in the second volume of his book "Glory Colorado!"

During his career, Davis served as president of Idaho State University and the University of New Mexico, as well as chancellor of Louisiana State University. In 1972, while president of Idaho State, he won the Democratic nomination for an open U.S. Senate seat in Idaho. Republican Congressman Jim McClure defeated him.
