聯Today, our hearts are with the family of our former student, Susannah Chase. I contacted the Chase family not long ago, near the 10th anniversary of Susannah聮s murder, and I know they share in this important moment today. On behalf of our entire university community, I want to thank the City of Boulder and the Boulder Police Department for their tenacity and determination in investigating this case. All of us can feel safer tonight because of their great work and perseverance over the last decade. That work reinforces the strong and cooperative mutual relationship we share as a city and a university.聰

聯This announcement of an arrest will hopefully lead to the conviction that will bring some closure to the tragic death of Susannah Chase. As promised at her memorial, we will continue at CU-Boulder to build, in her memory, a community that strives to eliminate violence in all its forms, but particularly, violence against women.聰
