The CU-Boulder Friends of the Libraries will present an "Author Meet & Greet" with local novelist Ingrid Law for her debut novel on Friday, June 20.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Center for British and Irish Studies on the fifth floor of Norlin Library on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus and is free and open to the public. Children are welcome at the event.
Law will read from and sign copies of her debut Dial Books novel, "Savvy," about a young girl named Mibs Beaumont who is two days away from turning 13 and realizing her "savvy," a special power like moving mountains or sparking electricity that erupts in members of her family on this particular birthday.
A light, catered reception will follow the program and books will be available for purchase. Pay parking is available at the Euclid Avenue Autopark.
The event is co-sponsored by the Camera newspaper. Law lives with her 12-year-old daughter in Boulder.
