"This is an incredible opportunity that the College Dems could not pass up," said Jesse Jensen, president of the College Democrats at CU. "Through a lifetime of hard work, compassion and leadership, Michelle Obama has proven herself to be an extraordinary role model for our nation's youth."

According to the Obama campaign, Mrs. Obama will talk with students and members of the community about the importance of registering to vote and the unique opportunity that young people have in this year's election "to build a better future, and close the gap between the world as it is and the world as it should be." Volunteers will also be on hand to help people register to vote.

No signs or banners will be allowed. Local attendees are encouraged to carpool, ride their bicycles, walk or use the RTD bus service to get to campus.
