University of Colorado at Boulder police and facilities management authorities have closed the Ramaley Biology Building to investigate the cause of a flood that occurred sometime Thursday night.
Vandals tore an eye-wash station away from a wall, rupturing pipes that flooded the building from the third down to the first floor. Signage in the building also was ripped down.
CU Police are investigating how an intruder or intruders might have entered the locked building.
It will be several days before a total damage estimate can be completed. Cleanup work on the facility will continue next week while classes are out of session for spring break.
