The University of Colorado at Boulder remains ranked 34th among the nation's top public universities, with three specialty programs in engineering and business ranked in the top 20 for both public and private universities, according to U.S. News & World Report's new undergraduate rankings.
CU-Boulder's College of Engineering and Applied Science was ranked 34th overall among public and private universities whose highest degree is a doctorate. The Leeds School of Business was ranked 38th among all university business programs whose highest degree is a doctorate.
CU-Boulder's aerospace engineering program was ranked 16th in the nation overall by the magazine, and the environmental engineering program was ranked 18th overall. The entrepreneurship program in the Leeds School of Business was tied for 18th overall.
The U.S. News rankings are based on the magazine's measures of academic peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving and graduation rate performance.
