The University of Colorado at Boulder campus is closing today at 2 p.m. except for essential employees due to hazardous weather conditions by order of Provost Stein Sture.
All on-campus housing and dining facilities currently are open as usual. If any changes are made to CU's housing or dining services all students living on campus will be notified through an internal e-mail.
The Wardenburg Health Center will be open from 2 until 4 p.m. today for urgent care only. All scheduled appointments for 2 p.m. or later need to be rescheduled.
Norlin Library and the University Memorial Center will close at 2 p.m. The Student Recreation Center will close at 5 p.m., and all classes and intramurals starting at 2 p.m. or later are canceled.
The Buff Bus campus shuttle will operate until midnight.

According to the campus closure policy, "essential services" are those functions and personnel required to maintain or protect the health, safety or physical well being of campus personnel (students, staff, and faculty), academic mission and facilities (including research projects). Employees should contact their supervisors if they have questions about whether or not they are considered "essential services" personnel.

Whether campus will reopen on Oct. 29 will be determined by 6 a.m. Thursday morning and will be posted on the CU-Boulder Web site at and updated on the Emergency Information Line at 303-492-INFO (4636).
