The University of Colorado at Boulder Police Department is investigating a report of an assault that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 5 in the vicinity of Kittredge Field on the CU-Boulder campus and is seeking tips to help identify the suspect.

A female reported that she was walking home at about 2 a.m. when an unknown male grabbed her from behind and tackled her. While on the ground, the male tried to cover her mouth with his hands, at which time she bit one of the suspect's fingers. The male got up and ran from the scene.
The female individual stood up and ran from the scene in the opposite direction. Two persons in the vicinity came by the location and took her across the street to call police. The female involved sustained only minor injuries from the incident.

The suspect is described as male, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, dark hair and no glasses. The case remains under investigation.
