The Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Resource Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder will host a series of events celebrating National Coming Out Week and the center's 15th anniversary Oct. 11-15.

"Our events and activities for National Coming Out Week help build community, educate the campus and celebrate the history of LGBTQ life," said Steph Wilenchek, director of CU-Boulder's GLBT Resource Center. "We are proud to be on a campus that has institutionally supported LGBTQ programs, like the GLBT Resource Center, for the past 15 years."

CU's National Coming Out Week events include:

-- Oct. 11, 7 p.m., National Coming Out Day Storytelling, University Memorial Center, SORCE Senior Dedication Lounge, room 227

-- Oct. 13, 7 p.m., Free Film Screening: "Contracorriente (Undertow)," Visual Arts Complex Auditorium, room 1B20

-- Oct. 15, 2 p.m., GLBT Resource Center's 15th Anniversary Celebration and Open House, Center for Community, room N450
