There is no threat to the CU-Boulder campus at this time, and classes are proceeding as normal. The CU-Boulder main campus, with the exception of the Grandview area north of University Avenue, should not be affected by the planned power outages put in place by Xcel Energy, according to CU Facilities Management.

Campus officials are monitoring wind direction, air quality and fire containment. There is currently no air quality impact to the campus. Some students, faculty and staff are affected by the evacuation orders. Please keep your family apprised of your individual situation.

The Coors Events Center on campus will close at 8 p.m. The East Boulder Community Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, will be the evacuation site beginning at 7 p.m.
