Due to road conditions and decreasing temperatures, the University of Colorado at Boulder will close at 3 p.m. today except for essential personnel.
The University of Colorado women's basketball game against Colgate University set for tonight at 7 p.m. will be played as scheduled. CU Athletics is urging fans who are still planning on attending tonight's game to exercise extreme caution when traveling as road conditions are expected to deteriorate, and temperatures continue to drop, throughout the day and evening.
For those not able to attend, BuffsTV will be streaming video of tonight's game free of charge. Simply go to CUBuffs.com, go to the Audio/Video menu and select "Watch BuffsTV." The game can also be heard live on KKZN AM 760 or online at CUBuffs.com
Classes are not in session due to winter break. Whether campus will reopen on Dec. 31 will be determined by 6 a.m. and posted on the university website at and updated on the emergency information line at 303-492-4636 (INFO).
According to the campus closure policy, "essential services" are those functions and personnel required to maintain or protect the health, safety, or physical well being of campus personnel (students, staff, and faculty), academic mission, and facilities (including research projects). Employees should contact their supervisors if they have questions about whether or not they are considered "essential services" personnel.
