The °µÍø½ûÇø may restrict non-affiliates from entering the campus on April 20, a Boulder District Court judge ruled today. Judge Andrew Macdonald upheld CU’s plans to restrict entry to the Boulder campus and to the Norlin Quad area.

CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano said, "This is simply an affirmation of the rights of our students, faculty and staff to do their important work without the substantial disruption of 4/20. I do not believe the ruling changes anything about the free speech environment of campus -- free speech is alive and well at CU-Boulder today just as it has been for more than 130 years."
The university will proceed with plans to ask students, faculty and staff to use their CU ID cards to gain entry to campus. Visitors who have registered to come onto the campus will be admitted through a special shuttle bus.
Classes will meet as scheduled on Friday, as will all official meetings, symposia, performances and workshops.
