Jessica Kuchta-MillerÌýhas joined the as Associate Ombuds. She has more than 14 years of experience in mediation, coaching, and conflict management as well as 11 years of experience in higher education as an adjunct clinical professor at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
For the past several years, Jessica has been a frequent presenter at Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) conferences and seminars. She has trained hundreds of individuals in mediation, negotiation and communication skills. Most recently, Jessica managed a divorce mediation program at the Mediation Center at Hamline University.
Before coming to CU, Jessica was active in the Minneapolis-St. Paul ADR community. She is a former member of the Minnesota Supreme Court ADR Ethics Board and completed two terms on the board of Conflict Resolution Minnesota, a local chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Jessica holds a juris doctor degree with a certificate in Dispute Resolution from Hamline University School of Law, a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University and is a candidate for a doctorate in education at Hamline University.
The Ombuds Office offers all members of the university community a safe place to talk about their campus-related problems. The organization exists to help faculty, staff and students identify and evaluate options and provide information, and can facilitate conversations between conflicting parties and make referrals when necessary.
