The Boulder community sees this as an important step toward ending violence against all people. We value the health and safety of every member of our community and are endeavoring, along with one billion others across the planet, to find new ways to reduce and eliminate violent and disrespectful behaviors.
One Billion Rising will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. We invite you to attend any of the community events and would like to extend a special invitation to attend a set of events taking place at the University Memorial Center (UMC). Rooms will be announced on site.

Guy Talk:Join campus, community, and student leaders in discussing President Obama’s recent call for a “cultural shift of men” in regards to violence. Brainstorm what this might look like and how to achieve a broader, healthy, vibrant, non-violent cultural norm for masculinity. Young Guys Talk:Similar to above, for middle schoolers. Wake Up, Be Awesome:Rise to your fullest potential. Energize and empower your body, mind, and heart with a free, guided yoga class led by Registered Yoga Teacher and CU-Boulder graduate student, Lauren Maslen. Namaste! (Open to all.) |
