The °µÍø½ûÇø is one of six universities nationally chosen to host a fire-safety seminar titled,Ìý. The seminar includesÌýa short video meant to raise awareness about fire safety among college students and a discussion of fire safety for those living off-campus.

The free event, intended for people involved in educating students about fire safety, including campus fire safety officials, housing officers, community liaisons, fire chiefs and fire prevention specialists, will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 10 a.m. - noon in the UMC room 247. CU-Boulder staff members will be joined by attendees from the Boulder Fire Department, Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado.

"Our campus was asked to host this seminar based on our national leadership on campus fire safety," said Jeremy Moore, communications and marketing director with CU-Boulder's Off-Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations.

The seminar is made possible through funding from the Department of Homeland Security Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program.
