Thousands of CU Buff Family members will start arriving on campus Thursday afternoon and Friday morning for 2014, where they will visit their student’s campus home, attend classes and presentations, tour the campus and Boulder and cheer on the Colorado Buffaloes as they take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

Sponsored by the , the three day event begins in earnest on Friday morning and features activities ranging from a golf tournament at Colorado National Golf Course and tours of the National Center for Atmospheric Research to presentations, tours and open houses on campus throughout the day.

In addition to engaging faculty panel presentations on research at CU-Boulder, Family Weekend 2014 will spotlight the completion of the newly renovated Student Recreation Center (Rec Center) with a variety of special activities throughout the day on Friday.

Saturday's schedule will begin early in the morning with presentations on study abroad programs, off-campus housing, career services and the newly renovated Fiske Planetarium. There also will be a special Interactive Theater Project performance. Families will then flock to the Rec Center for the annual Family Weekend “Pre-Game and Pep Rally.” The Buffs’ football game with the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will culminate the Saturday schedule.

Family Weekend festivities will wrap up on Sunday morning with the Buffalo Family Stampede 5K Fun Run/Walk.
