Roughly 500,000 LEGO® bricks take the shape of the CU-Boulder campus in the Heritage Center’s newest exhibit: “Hit the Bricks!” Be among the first to gaze upon an all-LEGO® CU when the exhibit opens Saturday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m.

Chip will be on hand for photo opportunities from 10 a.m. until noon and Science Discovery, a science education outreach program at CU-Boulder, will host LEGO® demonstrations from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The grand opening continues until 4 p.m.

“Hit the Bricks!” features iconic campus buildings including Old Main, Macky Auditorium and Folsom Field. The CU football stadium alone includes approximately 250,000 bricks and weighs several hundred pounds.

The LEGO® model will be a longstanding exhibit at the Heritage Center without a predetermined end date.

The Heritage Center is located on the third floor of Old Main and is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Call 303-492-6329 for Saturday hours after the grand opening. The Heritage Center will also be closed from Dec. 21-28.
