Feel Better Fast, every Thursday
This is designed specifically for graduate students. It focuses on mindfulness techniques and coping strategies. You will learn how to calm yourself in stressful situations, take a step back from your thoughts and make decisions that feel right for you. All workshops are free, confidential and unlimited for students. Students do not need to be a CAPS client or complete CAPS paperwork to attend.

The CU Art Museum is seeking graduate students across campus departments and schools interested in the cross-pollination between the arts and other disciplines to participate in their Flash Talks series听March 10 and 17. Please submit your name, email, phone number and a brief 150-word description of how your research or creative work relates to one of the two categories: ecology or social activism. Last year鈥檚 first-place winner, Hannah Glick, placed first at the regional competition of Western Association of Graduate Schools last March. Glick recently presented at the annual meeting of the Council of Graduate Schools and will be a featured Forever Buff听at this spring鈥檚 CU Next events in New York City and Chicago. Overwhelmed by all the application materials you need to generate? This 90-minute session will guide you through writing the academic job packet, including the cover letter, research, teaching听and diversity statements. Receive general advice about formatting and drafting these documents as well as what you need to know to tailor them to a specific institution or posting. The postdoc application will also be covered.

This full-time, eight-week program is open to anyone who has already obtained听or is within one year of graduating with a master鈥檚 or PhD degree. Applications from international students are welcome. Currently for the spring 2020 program.

Academic deadlines
Feb.听1: Apply to graduate听(master鈥檚 and doctoral students)
Master鈥檚 and doctoral students must apply online to graduate through on the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥� card in order to have your degree awarded in May. Doctoral students must enter your dissertation title as part of the online graduation application. This title will appear on your transcript. You may update the title through your portal until the deadline to cancel/update.听
Feb.听3: Submit candidacy application听(master鈥檚 students)
Master鈥檚 students must submit to the Graduate School a candidacy application for an advanced degree. Applications must be approved by the academic department before submission.
