Hello everyone, my name is Allie Reuter, and I am the Senior Class Council (SCC) president.

As some of you may know, SCC is a group of students dedicated to creating a community for the graduating class of 2021. We are currently focusing on all things commencement in order to make the ceremony memorable and impactful for everyone despite the circumstances.

Furthermore, on behalf of SCC, I would like to thank the Chancellor’s Office, the Commencement Committee and the CU Boulder Alumni AssociationÌýfor all the time and effort they have already put into the commencement celebration.

Recently, CUÌýannounced commencement will be held virtuallyÌýthis year. I know some of you may be saddened by this news, but I can assure you SCC is working to capitalize on this unique commencement experience while prioritizing the safety of all those involved.

Additionally, SCC is planning several events to engage seniors and bring everyone together over the coming months. Right now, we are planning a senior day of service, a virtual cooking night, as well as several other exciting events. For updates on these events and others, please follow on Instagram.

Lastly, please continue to stay safe during the transition back to school. While things are starting to look up, we as CU Boulder students still have a duty to protect one another and our greater Boulder community. We have several ideas in mind that will only be possible if everyone continues to abide by all of the COVID-19 guidelines.

We are officially in the home stretch. Each of you has done a tremendous job adapting to our new way of life. I am incredibly proud to be part of such a resilient community, and I implore you to make the most of the time we have left.

Sincerely,

Allie Reuter
Senior Class Council President
