This semester only has a few weeks remaining—find your ground with campus events. This week brings a conversation on queer works, book bans and art; a virtual cook along; study breaks; the Consent Carnival; interview prep; a mac-and-cheese bar; and more.

Prep for your next interview and learn the basics of interviewing during this workshop.

First Person Cinema invites film and video artists to CU Boulder to showcase their work. Sofía Gallisá Muriente, whose work often focuses on historical narratives, is visiting.

Tuesday, April 16

Use Buff Pantry ingredients to create a simple and delicious meal virtually. This week, cooks will craft vegan pasta arrabbiata. .

Join the College of Music for the final Soundworks concert of the semester. Soundworks is a concert series for the creation of new and original works.

Boulder is a beautiful place to live. Appreciate Mother Earth with a mindful tree walk around campus.

Come to talk about wildflowers, pollinators, creating biodiversity and more. Participants will start their own plant growing kit.

Muay Thai is a Thai martial art and a form of kickboxing. Check it out during this free workshop held by Student Affairs and Health and Wellness Services. 


Thursday, April 18

Queer works, book bans and art

  4–5:30 p.m.   ​UMC 235
CU Boulder’s Center for Humanities & the Arts will host Gabrielle Calvocoressi and Maia Kobabe for conversation about attacks against queer and nonbinary people and works, as well as to amplify the art of the speakers. The first 30 registrants (who also attend the event) will receive a free copy of “Gender Queer: A Memoir.”

Explore healthy communication in sexual relationships during this hour-long workshop. You will learn about navigation techniques, trying new things and more.

Drop in to celebrate another year at CU! There will be free dinner, community and a special recognition for graduating seniors.

The University of Colorado Engineering Council is hosting a Midnight Garden spring formal for engineering majors. Join for refreshments, a live DJ, dancing and games. 


Saturday, April 20

Volunteer for A Precious Child, an organization that empowers and assists children in need. Volunteers will process incoming donations or work in the store by creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Explore the role of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, how humans affect the planet, protection strategies and more.
