Undergraduates: Graduating this semester? Make sure you’re set

Are you planning on graduating at the end of this semester? With the semester nearing completion and winter degree conferral just around the corner, here's what you need to know to ensure you are on track and ready to celebrate.

Apply to graduate

The application process for graduation is of utmost importance. Soon-to-be graduates are encouraged to check in with their advisors to ensure all credit requirements have been met and to inform their dean’s office of their plans.

The last day for undergraduate students to submit, update or cancel their fall 2024 application form is Thursday, Dec. 12, at 11:59 p.m. MST.

Winter conferral information

Be sure to check out the winter conferral information available on the commencement website. Find essential information on everything from caps and gowns and graduation announcements to how to stay connected as a Forever Buff.

Recognition ceremonies

While no campuswide ceremony is held in the winter, many colleges, schools, departments and programs across the university will hold individual recognition ceremonies beginning on Thursday, Dec. 19, for winter graduates. See the full list of those (and those who will not).

Additionally, fall graduates are invited to the spring commencement ceremony Thursday, May 8, 2025.
