Gov. Jared Polis signed a legislative bill into law, declaring Juneteenth a state holiday. Graduating senior Katelynn Thammavong has been recognized with a Community Impact Award for her work to connect and empower Asian-heritage STEM students and disrupt anti-Asian racism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The award, considered one of the College of Arts and Sciences' highest honors, is given to students for academic achievement and service. This year, 17 undergraduates in a variety of fields are receiving the honor.
