Leeds student takes 'gaming' to another level

Leeds School of Business student Zhenghua Yang and a team of programmers, artists and game designers melded their passion for video games into Serenity Forge, an independent video game developing company. Surprisingly, the Boulder based company was created in 2008 while the founders were still in high school, said Yang. Now, team members work remotely, reporting to Yang, who is the head programmer, from establishments around the country such as Stanford University and St. Olaf College.

The Colorado Combined Campaign , which began in 1988 under an executive order from the Office of the Governor, provides all state employees with a once-a-year charitable solicitation that is diverse, fairly-managed and efficient.

Positive, broad-based job growth forecast for Colorado in 2013, says CU Leeds School of Business

Colorado will continue on the road to recovery and add a variety of jobs in 2013 across almost all business sectors following a positive year in 2012, according to economist Richard Wobbekind of the °µÍø½ûÇø’s Leeds School of Business. Wobbekind’s announcement is part of the 48th annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum presented Dec. 3 by the Business Research Division of the Leeds School.

Tobacco use is the number one cause of preventable death in America. Beyond that second-hand smoke is the third leading cause of preventable death. For those with asthma, respiratory ailments, and heart conditions, exposure to second-hand smoke can exacerbate those problems and potentially trigger a health crisis.

Grand Canyon as old as the dinosaurs, suggests new study led by CU-Boulder

Olwin named 2012 Senior Scholar in Aging

The Ellison Medical Foundation has named Bradley Olwin, professor in MCD Biology, a 2012 Senior Scholar in Aging. The award recognizes his work "Reprogramming Muscle Stem Cells to Resist Aging;" he and his team are investigating the regeneration of normal, diseased and aged skeletal muscle with a focus on the mechanisms regulating muscle stem cell quiescence, self-renewal and terminal differentiation.
