Nearly 1,000 fifth-grade students from area schools will attend the 14th annual Water Festival on May 16th at the University Memorial Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the CU-Boulder campus. The Water Festival is a hands-on way for students to discover where drinking water comes from. Students will learn ways to protect and conserve water, experience the history, geography and science of water, explore the Boulder Creek watershed and its geology, and encounter the diverse plants and animals that rely on water for survival.
