John DiBiaggio, special assistant to University of Colorado President Elizabeth Hoffman and CU-Boulder Chancellor Richard L. Byyny, will be available to meet with faculty, staff and students next week to discuss concerns related to the investigation of the football program. In an e-memo from DiBiaggio, CU-Boulder faculty, staff and students and members of the CU system administration are encouraged to "meet with me to discuss any concerns you may have related to the investigation of the football program and/or the Athletic Department."

Colorado History Day To Bring 500 Students To CU-Boulder April 24

Hundreds of students from throughout Colorado will converge on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus to compete in Colorado History Day, which is part of the largest national humanities education program in the country. °µÍø½ûÇø 500 students in grades six through 12 will compete in the event, which is free and open to the public, on Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the CU-Boulder campus. The winners will represent Colorado in the National History Day competition in June, where students from 48 states will compete for national awards.

CU-Boulder Finalizes New Alcohol Initiatives

Chancellor Richard L. Byyny of the University of Colorado at Boulder today announced several new initiatives designed to supplement on-going campus efforts aimed at reducing high-risk alcohol use by students. The new initiatives will add more intensified research on alcohol issues on college campuses, expand CU-Boulder's education and intervention programs, and strengthen campus sanctions for violations of alcohol rules and laws, Byyny said. The new initiatives will be implemented by fall 2004, he said.

New Student Housing Facilities To Open This Fall At CU-Boulder Bear Creek Apartments Complex

Students at the University of Colorado at Boulder will soon have additional living space and new recreational facilities at Bear Creek Apartments at Williams Village. A second 499-bed apartment building is scheduled to open Aug. 16. Construction of a new commons building to house a recreation center, police annex, leasing office and multipurpose facility began last month and is scheduled to open in September.

CU Professors Find 64 Percent Of Online Americans Use Internet For Religious And Spiritual Purposes

Nearly two-thirds of online Americans use the Internet for faith-related reasons, according to a new Pew Internet & American Life Project survey conducted by two University of Colorado at Boulder professors. The 64 percent of Internet users who perform spiritual and religious activities online represent nearly 82 million Americans, according to Stewart Hoover and Lynn Schofield Clark of the CU-Boulder School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The physics of music and the tools used by nuclear and particle physicists to make the invisible visible will be highlights of two separate April 17 presentations at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Bruce Babbitt, Former Interior Secretary, To Speak At CU-Boulder April 20

Bruce Babbitt, the former Arizona governor who served as secretary of the interior for eight years under President Clinton, will speak at the University of Colorado at Boulder on April 20. CU-Boulder Leeds School Of Business Ranked No. 15 For Entrepreneurship In U.S. News & World Report Ranking

The Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business has been ranked 15th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in its 2005 Best Graduate Schools edition, up from 17th in the 2004 ranking. This year's ranking marks the fifth consecutive year the program has been ranked among the top 20 programs nationally.
