A new publication headed by the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering seeks to create better alignment among academic programs and sector needs when it comes to training engineers in global development.

The Conference on World Affairs returns in person April 6鈥�9, and this year, organizers have curated a student-specific series of programs focused on today鈥檚 top world issues. CU Boulder students don't need to register, and will be treated like VIPs with priority seating at this free conference.

The CU Board of Regents recently announced the latest slate of recipients of honorary degrees, distinguished service medals and university medals. The CU Boulder affiliates鈥撯�揓uan Espinosa, Linda Hogan, Ryan Haygood and Michael Leeds will be part of a private ceremony on May 4.

The season's top six student and faculty teams will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and a live audience for tens of thousands of dollars in prize money. Come and support the next big innovation at our first in-person championship event in two years.

The University of Colorado Police Department, in collaboration with Facilities Management, will use $3.4 million in state-controlled maintenance funding to improve classroom security. As part of this project, CUPD was also granted funding for technical assistance from a U.S. Department of Justice program.

This month鈥檚 update highlights Women鈥檚 History Month, five goals inspired by the IDEA Plan, federal pre-college and research funding, inclusive hiring and campus UndocuAlly sessions.

The campus community is invited to participate in five public forums with the finalists for the dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science position on April 5, April 7, April 11, April 13 and April 18.
