Data humanities class wins NSF grant

A new humanities course on how to make sense of data and apply it to real-world problems has just been awarded $300,000 from the National Science Foundation. The grant was awarded to Eric Vance, associate professor of applied math, and David Glimp, associate professor of English.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis and first gentleman Marlon Reis, a CU alumnus, married in a ceremony held at CU Boulder's Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre on Sept. 15. The occasion represents the first same-sex marriage of a sitting governor, according to the Associated Press.

Colorado to honor its 4 Olympians at Sept. 18 football game

The University of Colorado will honor its four Olympians who competed on the cross country and track and field teams. The recognition will take place at Folsom Field during halftime in the game against Minnesota. The game is slated for an 11 a.m. start.
