UMC HVAC Project

Preparations and communication will start in September 2025.Ìý

Construction at UMC will occur from January to July 2026.Ìý

Construction workÌýÌý

Upcoming construction will improve the HVAC system, Campus Dining Services loading dock and pavement between the UMC and CASE buildings. This includes:Ìý

  • Replacing outdated HVAC equipment in UMC dining areas.
  • Connecting new units to the campus chilled water system.
  • Removing a non-functioning cooling tower.
  • Expanding the dock for improved efficiency, safety and traffic flow.Ìý

Enhancements also include:Ìý

  • Installing an infrared snow-melt system for improved safety at the Book Store dock ramp.
  • Replacing an aging kitchen utility distribution panel to prevent costly emergency repairs.
  • Converting the west dining area to energy-efficient LED lighting.ÌýÌý

These updates aim to modernize a portion of the UMC facilities, improve safety and enhance overall functionality.Ìý ÌýÌý
