Financial Aid, Student Fees, Scholarship

Our Individually Designed Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students can defray the cost of their studies by waiving the student fee package, applying for our one-time scholarship for non-traditional students, and applying for financial aid.

Student Fees

By default, Individually Designed Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students are automatically assessed the full package of student fees, which provide access to the RTD bus system,Ìýthe Student Recreation Center,ÌýCounseling and Psychiatric Services, and other campus services.

You may reference a detailed list of fees on the CU Boulder Bursar’s website. (Select either In-State or Out-of-State in the Undergraduate Students category, not the Computer Science Post Baccalaureate category. Student fees are listed on the second page of the document.) The cost of the full student fee package comes close to $900 per semester in the fall and spring, and around $650 in the summer.

All non-degree students, including Individually Designed Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students, have the option to opt out of certain fees that are mandatory for students who have degree-seeking status. If you do not plan to utilize the resources covered by student fees, you may follow  to waive the majority of your fees. (Please note, however,Ìýthat some lab courses charge a mandatory -- and nonrefundable -- equipment fee.)

If you have questions about student fees, please contact the Continuing Education Bursar’s Office at cebursar@colorado.edu or 303-492-2212 for assistance.

Financial Aid

Individually Designed Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students who meet certain eligibility standards may be able to receive financial aid. Please note that federal financial aid awards for post-baccalaureate students typically cover the cost of in-state tuition but not living expenses. Nondegree financial aid typically covers a maximum of one calendar year of enrollment. For detailed information on financial aid eligibility and required paperwork, please visit CU Boulder’s Financial Aid website. You may contact our financial aid liaison at cefinaid@colorado.edu for more information.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) typically opens on October 1, for the following school year. (Each "school year" starts in the fall semester.) However, for the 2024-2025 FAFSA, the U.S. Department of Education has announced that the opening date will be delayed until late December 2023. In future years, the opening date will return to October 1. More information is posted on CU Boulder's 2024-25 Financial Aid Application Delay webpage.

Nondegree Student Scholarship

Individually Designed Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health students may apply for a one-time CU Boulder Continuing Education Nondegree Student Scholarship, which can cover up to $1,000 for a term. .
